Master of Mistveil Keep

The Master of Mistveil Keep (alternatively referred to as Master of Mistral Lake) is a mysterious figure who reigns over the town of Mistral Lake from within the fog-shrouded Mistveil Keep. The Master never seems to make personal appearances, which has resulted in various rumors as to the identity of the figure or whether they truly even exist at all. Nonetheless, the Master has shown clear influence over the government of Mistral Lake as shifts in government leadership have been brought about by the Master's authority and power (see the forceful removal of Lady Odette of Mistveil Keep, and again later the removal of the Council of Nine Representatives). Aside from involvement in these major shifts in government leadership, the Master seems to be rather detached from the goings-on of Mistral Lake, leaving the matters of everyday governing to appointed liaisons and other representatives.

Those few privileged to enter Mistveil Keep itself never seem to speak of the Master in any specific detail, and it is rumored that even they are uncertain of the Master's specific identity or appearance as they are not allowed (or not able) to look upon the Master.
