Acrobatics is a performing skill that can be used to tumble, flip, dive, and jump.

Notes

  • Jumping or falling down long falls can have a variety of results based on an Acrobatics skill check, taking the Agility attribute into account for extra rerolls.
  • Jumping from land into deep water can have a variety of message results based on Acrobatics/Swimming skill check, taking the Agility attribute into account for extra rerolls.
  • Results of the tumble command are based on Acrobatics skill, the Agility primary attribute, weight encumbrance, armor encumbrance, knowledge of the Tumble combat ability, whether the character is in negative Balance, and whether the tumble was initiated from a standing, sitting, or lying down position.
  • Using the tumble command gives a small amount of Acrobatics practice, with diminishing returns that reset over time.
  • Jumping down long falls and diving from land into deep water gives a small amount of Acrobatics practice, with diminishing returns that reset over time.
  • The Flip ability has an associated skill roll to determine level of success (both performance and flank version), and provides Acrobatics practice.
  • Executing a tumble or flip to successfully avoid an attack grants some Acrobatics skill practice.
  • When falling off a mount, characters with the Acrobatics skill or the Tumble ability will make an Acrobatics skill check to potentially avoid taking fall damage. Having both Acrobatics skill and the Tumble ability will grant +1 reroll. Roundtime causes negative rerolls.
