Nutrition is a character stat that is automatically spent to regenerate energy over time. When a character is significantly hungry their morale will begin to suffer, and when starving, a character will only be able to regenerate up to 5% of their energy. The primary means of regaining nutrition is by eating food.
It is not possible to die of starvation outright, but the inability to regenerate energy beyond 5% when starving can be extremely dangerous and crippling. Always pack some food before going out on an adventure!
Nutrition status can be monitored via the health
and/or info
commands. The command prompt will indicate if nutrition levels are low enough for a character to be considered Hungry, Ravenous, or Starving.
