Tactical Dodge is an ability that can be learned by characters.

  • IC description: When easily dodging an incoming melee attack, use the opportunity to your tactical advantage.
  • OOC description: (When dodging an incoming melee attack with an endroll percent at or under -50%, get a bonus effect. Only applies to normal attacks, not maneuvers.)
  • Cooldown timer: 5
  • Bonus Effects
    • "Fancy Footwork"
      • Class: Duelist
      • Description: Improve balance while easily sidestepping an attack. Also allows Cloak Parry or Main-Gauche to occur on an exceptional dodge.
    • "Risk Assessment"
      • Class: Nightblade
      • Description: Take a moment to assess and reduce the Risk of the situation.
    • "Strike a Pose"
      • Class: Bard
      • Description: Strike a quick pose while reveling in an exceptional move, granting extra Inspiration.
    • "Quickpocket"
      • Class: Rogue
      • Description: Use the quickpocket (or qp) command within the next 3 seconds to make a quick steal attempt on an attacker as they whiff their attack. Can be done during roundtime, and causes no roundtime.
    • "Tricky Terrain"
      • Class: Ranger
      • Description: Utilizing clever footwork and extensive experience in wilderness terrain, lure attackers into natural obstacles while avoiding their attacks.
      • Cooldown timer: 13
    • "Trip"
      • Class: Marauder
      • Description: Use a foe's momentum against them as they whiff their swing by sticking out a foot and tripping them. Gets 'em every time.
