Small Game Snares is an ability that can be learned by characters.

  • IC description: With a little ingenuity and tracking knowledge, snares can be constructed from simple materials and placed in ideal spots to capture small game. It may take some time, but when placed properly snares can be an excellent means of acquiring meat and furs for the patient trapper who plans ahead. A trapper should do a little preliminary hunting in an area first to track around and discover ideal trap locations along small game trails.
  • OOC description: (The ability to build and place a snare trap. Based on the area and the trapper's Tracking skill, there is a chance smaller game animals may eventually be caught in the snare. Note: Snares are meant to be set in advance and then routinely checked on at later times. The results will not be immediate. Caught animals may eventually escape or be preyed upon by other predators after excessive amounts of time, and snare traps will eventually despawn after a few days. Limited to 1 animal trap per trapper per room, and 10 snares overall in the world per trapper at any one time.)
  • Usage: build snare trap (Note: It is recommended to hunt in an area first just to look for any small game tracks and ensure there are applicable prey nearby (no need to pursue the specific tracks once found while hunting).)
  • Prerequisite Skills:
