Shelve

To shelve a character is to make them unavailable for play for at least 30 days. This will free up a character slot so that another character can be created or unshelved on the same account. Shelving is a good option if a player tires of a character, but doesn't want to permanently retire them. Any time after 30 days, a shelved character can be unshelved again, provided there is an open character slot on the account. The 30-day wait time is to discourage players from rapidly shuffling between several alternate characters.

There is no limit to how many shelved characters can be on an account.

The shelve command must be used from the account screen. Do this after logging into an account, but before logging in as a character. If a player is already logged in as a character, they can use the logout command to log the character out of the game and return to the account screen.
