Occult Diagrams is an ability that can be learned by characters.

  • IC description: Occult diagrams were designed to make specific occult effects more easily accessible without the need for maintained occult channeling. Applying the basics of occult diagrams includes how to draw a base small circle to determine the area of effect, a line shape to act as a glyph separator, the `beldi` glyph which serves as an activator, and the `distyr` glyph to manifest one's aura around oneself in a faint glow when activated. First draw the small circle, then separate it into to equal parts by drawing the line. Next draw the `beldi` glyph to indicate that the diagram should be activated when a soul enters within its boundaries. Lastly, add the `distyr` glyph to specify which effect should manifest when the diagram is activated. Once completed, the next person to enter the small circle diagram will be affected by the power of the `distyr` glyph. Of course, one can mix in any known glyphs they wish into such diagrams, but this is the standard beginner's combination.
