Druidic Commune is an ability that can be learned by characters.

  • IC description: Developed by ancient Primalists, The Druidic Commune allows druids to utilize the primal bond between each other to send some vague messages and impressions across vast distances in order to have a very basic form of communication. While limited, it can be an excellent means of strengthening bonds in the druidic community, and it can be utilized even when Aetgardian communication pendants might fail or be unavailable. Do be aware that the images conveyed may become hazy and indistinct in areas of low primal influence, or those saturated with human influence such as urban settings and man-made structures. It should also be noted that not all druids should be assumed to have this ability, or to be listening or responsive to it. Different circles may have their own varying methods that cannot be detected by others.
  • OOC description: (The ability to send some basic images and impressions to other druids over long distances. Druids can "check in" to announce their presence, send various impressions such as warning, danger, desired gathering, etc. along with an image of their location, and send a basic confirmation or denial impression in response to communes they receive. An animal avatar image may be requested to serve as an identifier for communes, though this does not mean the character has any particular beneficial affinity or bond with that type of animal. (This ability should not be considered a reliable means of getting in touch with NPC druids, only other player characters.))
  • Usage: While channeling druidry, use the commune command to send communes. Receiving communes does not require an open druidry channel. Use the custom request druid_avatar command to request an animal avatar identifier.
