Armor Deflection

Armor Deflection is an ability that can be learned by characters.

• IC description: With the proper training, form, and footwork, heavy armor's effectiveness at mitigating damage can be increased even further. Rather than taking the full force of a blow, the slightest of angle adjustments can cause strikes to glance to the side.
• OOC description: (While using the Dreadnought or Guardian combat tactics, while at zero or higher balance, 40% chance to reduce damage by 50% to hit locations covered by heavy armor.)
• Prerequisite Abilities:
  • Tactics: Dreadnought -OR- Tactics: Guardian
