I just wanted to make a clarifying OOC statement regarding the recent goings-on in Tarueka: It is not the intent of the event to have players stop using Tarueka or any of its sub-areas as regular combat zones. I tried to make this clear in-game from the event NPCs, and from what I've seen, the point has been communicated in-character by the PCs involved that there has been no request for people to stop entering the area to do battle with the common infested therein.
So feel free to keep practicing combat in Tarueka. Just maybe be wary of any that might be acting out-of-the-ordinary, and of course have your character act however they would act if such things are observed.
And also feel free to make drama over all this from an IC perspective. Just wanted to make clear the official stance that the combat zone is not off-limits, and normal danger/skill levels have not been modified in any way for the event.
