On random tables

I happened across this blog post again recently, and I absolutely love it. While it was written with D&D in mind, and cogg is not that, nor is D&D a mud, it is a useful insight for any game designer relying on random tables. I think the lockboxes / lockbox traps are probably "evergreen" but if the suggested ship encounters on the Diaspora become a thing, this would certainly be helpful for thinking over that.
