Stones, Metals, and Masonry- The rocky relationship CH.1

So if stone has to be crushed to access the tangy ore(y) center. Maybe carving stone that specifically HAS metals, gems, etc. Could be a bit harder to carve!

This would put more value on totems and trinkets made from it and could you imagine having a small figurine bearing ruby crystal formations? Or granite dice with traces of lapis lazuli? That could really push some artsy reasons to be a mason! And it would create just a little bit of reason for smiths and masons to haggle over. "That could be made into a sword!" - "Yeah but, I want to make something positively stunning with it! Yours is just going to get destroyed hacking away at things!" This is hypothetical ofc.

This does leave the question of "Well Xan, how would it look on a piece?" I have an example!

You carefully examine a sandstone star charm with a cobalt locus.
A simple sandstone star-shaped charm with a small hole in the top to allow attachment to a necklace, cobalt swirls and stretches across it.
or bracelet.
It is a tiny item, mainly made of sandstone and some cobalt.

Furthermore we could try and add even more spice! Adding PATTERN to the carve command set could allow you to change how the ore traces are utilized! Veins, circles, dots, patterns, and sporadic. Surely even more patterns could be devised!

Veins reach across it in tendrils of (Ore).
Polka-dots of (ore) dust its features.
Carefully channeled divets reveals a pattern of (Ore) in various facets of its make.
Large chunks of (ore) separate the carving creating a series of (Ore) rings throughout.
(Ore) pokes through and mars a sporadic pattern over the (item).

An assistant introduces a lanky brooding-eyed woman with tan skin to you as Karen and assigns you to treat her wounds.
>tend karen
You try to tend to Karen, but she is too hysterical to accept treatment!
