Hoping Rias will chime in here because I'm very confused.
Several long time players tell me that an item won't be fine unless more than half of its components are.
Adresin can make fine quality metal, but not wood. However, using a handle or haft she's made, plus a fine quality metal component, results in a fine quality end product. I've done this with warhammers, work hammers, and someone else did the same thing with a pickaxe. Talking to more people, some have seen this the opposite way too, fine haft with an average head, for example. Note that wedges in my case are also average.
So, is this a bug? A change that wasn't announced? Something else? I'd love to know.
To bug or not to bug, fine quality items
Re: To bug or not to bug, fine quality items
Don't know if this has been changed, but it doesn't appear to go the opposite direction, i.e. average metal and fine wood.
Just tested it

This sounds like a bug, so I'll look into it.
