I saw this idea in Castlevania and in the anime series and thought it would be quite fun as a high tier Rook ability.

Possess Melee Weapon
Lore:
Through the study of various possessed inanimate items out in the lost lands the Parlour has come across a clever means by which to direct a familiar to encompass and control some weapons as if they had a will of their own. When correctly cast a weapon will float and move on its own as if wielded by some invisible hand. This method takes a great deal of concentration on the part of the caster and will fail should the caster become distracted.
Mechanics:
While channeling sorcery direct your familiar to become incorporeal possessing a weapon to fight on your behalf. While channeling the caster is unable to attack or parry themselves and must rely on the possessed weapon to do so. Not to be used on ferrous weapons.
Ups:
Weapon skill rolls are changed into caster's sorcery skill. The weapon acts on its own and times its own attacks accordingly. The incorporeal possessing familiar cannot be harmed (or seen) but the weapon can still take damage. Weapon can be used while caster is in ranged position, but while doing so, loses weapon's parry rolls. optional idea: combine weapon with sorcery proc flares?
Downs:
Weapon energy drain is +10% higher per strike plus the caster must maintain a sorcery channel to maintain or the weapon drops to the floor. Dodge and block rolls are 20% lower while concentrating. Familiar is no longer available for other types of protection. 'Can' be used on some ferrous weapons with a major penalty to effectiveness. Cannot be used on some materials that completely repel nether. Cannot be used on ranged weapons.
