Per the changelog (and subject of this post): Throwing-axes and throwing-hammers are now small-size items and can be stored in bandoliers.
If any existing throwing-hammers or throwing-axes still report that they're too large to fit into a bandolier, EXAMINE the weapon to trigger the update for it and that should fix its size, then try again.
Happy hurling!
P.S. Some of the item weights on some axes/hammers were lower than they should have been, so that's also being addressed. Still no ideas as to why some were affected by this bug and others were not, but some people may find they can carry fewer hammers/axes than they could before without bumping up to the next level of encumbrance. (The majority of the items were about the right weight already, though.)

Bandoliers still erroneously claim to only hold throwing knives when examined.
