Bloodletting is an ability that can be learned by Physickers.
IC Description: According to certain theories, patients whose bodies produce an excess of blood often suffer from any number of maladies, ranging from heartache to the flu. You remedy them through precision exsanguination, which produces a wave of placidity in the patient while also leaving them temporarily weakened. Advanced medicine isn't pretty.
OOC Description: (Until you recover, your maximum energy is lowered by 20%. Your resistance to certain hostile occult workings is bolstered. There may be side effects.)
Usage: medical bloodlet <target>
Duration: 12 hours + 25*Medical
Cooldown: Once every 48 hours
While under the effects of Bloodletting, PCs have an increased resistance to hostile occult effects involving blood or emotional influence. (Fear, despair, etc. Maybe the PC gets one extra defense reroll?) Their maximum energy is reduced by 100 (120 for Constitution PCs), and they may suffer a random side effect for the duration.
Potential Side Effects:
25% - No side effect
25% - Increased hunger
10% - Increased resistance to disease
10% - Decreased resistance to venom/poison
5% - Ten minutes of lethargy at the beginning
5% - Sanity loss is doubled
5% - Morale loss is slowed by half
5% - Euphoria (Also apply the effects of motivational therapy)
5% - Epiphany (Also apply the effects of reflection therapy)
5% - Roll twice, excluding this result
