suggestions for the beach

It would be cool to build sand castles, and maybe they only last a certain length of time because the tide will come in and wash them away.
Also, have all those cheap/crude/bad shells? Why not use them to build a shell castle. Again the tide can break it apart etc after a period of time.
Finally, can we have shallows at the beach for people to splash/play/swim in?
