Western Coalition Acquires Blackwater

THE COALITION CHRONICLE
Desumbar 12, 1223
"Western Coalition Acquires Blackwater"

The Western Coalition has been glad for the opportunity to aid the people of Mistral Lake as they focus on recovering both their morale and their resources. As part of a deal for various services both promised and rendered, Mistveil Keep has granted all property and resources at Blackwater Logging Camp to the Western Coalition. Coalition Chief Foreman Locke had this to say about the matter:

"It could easily be debated whether Mistveil Keep had any claim at all over the property at Blackwater. That property has historically belonged to the Coalition, though we had to withdraw from it after the ill-fated Haiban project. There were plans to reclaim it once things settled down, but then the Dominion moved in, and we chose not to press the matter at the time. We could have insisted that it be returned to us by right considering the current circumstances, but we're happy to accept it in trade for services to the good people of Mistral Lake who are in need of us at the moment. Consider it an act of good will on the part of the Western Coalition."

Construction is already underway at the Blackwater site as the Coalition labors to reclaim their historical headquarters site. Chief Foreman Locke shared some additional thoughts on their plans:

"We learned from the Haiban disaster. Some of our more talented artisans wanted to prove that the Lost Lands was ready for a settlement where people could live in an environment of increased comfort and luxury, but that idea was proven false. We're going back to our roots. We're a coalition of laborers and crafters. Something doesn't have to be glamorous to be valuable and of exceptional quality. Our rebuilt headquarters will be practical and utilitarian, made to withstand the dangers of the Lost Lands we live in. It will be a place where dedicated workers and crafters can hone their skills and really focus on what the Lost Lands needs most: good, honest, hard work, and practical goods and services of lasting quality."

The above news can be found in-game on a news sheet at the news stands in various outposts! Blackwater Logging Camp can no longer be accessed in its previous form. In its place currently are a palisade-walled construction site and a storehouse, the storehouse serving as a destination for delivery tasks. The storehouse is also taking donations, if anyone is feeling generous with their planks of wood, hewn timbers, ingots, and medium stone blocks and wants to say they contributed to this cause.
