This idea was inspired by a character asking Dylan if he could grow xicamatl, which can only be foraged from the wild.
Based on their farming skill, characters could attempt to take cuttings of wild plants (as long as the plants haven't been overharvested). The cuttings will mechanically function as seeds and can sold, planted, etc. The only source for cuttings will be PCs, so if you want to grow xicamatl, you'll either have to fetch the cuttings yourself or ask a farmer to sell or trade some to you.
Wild herbs, flowers, berries, and roots could all have varying difficulties for cutting and growth - and, of course, only the best and most legendary of farmers will be able to grow emberberries, which are notorious for being impossible to domesticate.
