Currently when you use "survey" on a farm it gives you the total planting plots available, but does not seem to subtract current structure's footprints which can be deceptive.
Example:
survey
You make a thorough survey of the area ...
You figure there's enough room here for 80 planting plots.
I have many structures on my farm taking up some of those plots (presumably). It would be a great feature if the message would give the total size of the farm as well as the available plots left. That way players can more easily calculate the size field they might want to till or if they need to make more space for additional structures.
Farmland Survey QOL
Re: Farmland Survey QOL
You can us the FARM command to see that info. I went ahead and incorporated it into SURVEY as well, and removed the previous part of survey that only showed amount of farming plots.
surv
You make a thorough survey of the area ...
You don't recognize any useful natural resources.
There are 100 plots of farmable land here.
39 plots have been tilled for use in planting.
24 plots are being taken up by structures.
There are 37 plots of unused land.
