Ranger's Unguent

Post by Teyarflow »

Ability idea: Ranger's Unguent. Having spent time out in the wilderness and living off the land, rangers have learned how to mix up a crude version of some healing unguents for survival situations. While not as potent as those of physickers these will still provide healing of wounds over long periods of time.

I've been wanting a more bushcrafty/"wild" unguent option for a while now. It'll probably go to more than just Rangers. Primalists come to mind, and possibly also anyone with a certain amount of Bushcraft skill.

Love the idea, and love that it's not just ranger exclusive. Rangers have a looooot of utility based abilities from just druidry alone should you want to be one (which truthfully almost everyone does). This may be a good addition or alternative option to those who feel like the second healing option being a thing is cool, or those who don't want to be dridic on their rangers. It may have to be in a much lesser scale than physicker's unguent though, may be...healing slower, having timer etc etc etc.

On the topic of bushcraft medicine, I'd love to see bandages added to the bushcraft weaving recipes and the requirement for a loom removed for woven bandages, possibly both of those as part of an ability that requires bushcraft and medical skill.
