I've set up a Policy document. How exciting. It can be viewed
here on the wiki or by typing HELP POLICY in-game.
The policy is subject to change - changes will be announced.

A CvC/PvP section has been added to the game policy. See the

A policy has been added. As of this writing, it states:
The roleplay of non-consensual sexual interactions is not allowed, not even if all involved players have agreed upon the idea out-of-character, not even in locked/instanced/exclusive private rooms. This kind of roleplay is simply not welcome in this game.
As a note, this came up not because it had happened in the game or that someone was planning on it, but as a result of discussing a Grapple combat mechanic that might work similar to Tackle or Sweep. A concern was brought up that it might potentially be used to try and initiate something like the above, so I thought it prudent to make it clear that that type of roleplay is not acceptable in COGG, and to add this information to the policy document.

The above policy addition was changed to the following broader policy regarding ERP, which reads as of this posting:
ERP (Erotic Roleplay)
It should be noted that the developer of this game does not want the game to have a reputation for being an ERP hub. If it occurs naturally between characters that is one thing, but please exercise both restraint and common courtesy to the community in this regard. Players who are interested primarily in ERP should find another community to join. That is not what this community is meant to be about, and the developer actively dislikes the idea of this becoming a primary or defining trait of this game or its community. If it ever starts to look like that's where the game or its community is headed, the policy will be updated to a simple "ERP is not allowed in this game" statement. Until then, ERP is allowed so long as it follows the below guidelines:
1. ERP must be restricted to private rooms that other player characters cannot accidentally enter (in other words, keep it to rented inn rooms).
2. All parties must consent to the scene both IC and OOC.
3. Non-consensual ERP is not allowed for any reason, not even in private rooms, not even if all parties consent OOC.
4. ERP involving minors (either the player or the character) is not allowed for any reason, not even in private rooms, not even if all parties consent OOC.

The "Player Character & RP Background" section has been added to the policy document. It can be seen by
clicking here to see it on the wiki or by typing HELP POLICY in-game. Discussion is welcome, but a new thread will need to be created for it as this policy thread is locked to keep it a clean history of policy updates.

With our shift away from the encouraged CvC aspect of the game, the designated CvC zone exceptions have been removed from the policy.
