I know it is bound to happen occasionally, but I've wondered if it might be a good idea to somehow discourage NPCs from clumping in areas. I've frequently found 3 skeletons all in the same room while wandering the graveyard tonight, which makes engaging in combat a bold flirt with death. They often seem to move about with their buddies in tow, as well.
It is of course possible that this may just be a case of my being more likely to notice the exceptional cases and that this is in actuality very infrequent.

Enjoy![#ANNOUNCEMENTS] Changelog-Mobs: Free-moving mobs of the same faction will now generally avoid "clumping together" in the same room by default, though some mob types may not mind - or may even prefer - such social behavior.
