Beekeepers with the Animal Husbandry skill can at last get honey from their bees! Check the helpfile on honeycomb to see the process.

Anyone can drink the honey for a small amount of delicious nutrition, or sell it at the market (you keep the containing vessel, the market just takes the honey contents). It'll also be worked into the cooking system as a sweetener and other fun food-related stuff.

Thanks for getting to this! Do you still need to leave a small piece in the beehive for the bees to stay or can it all be safely gathered?

Just to be perfectly clear for readers: You don't need to leave any beeswax in a hive that's already been occupied by bees and had its honeycombs harvested. They'll rebuild new honeycombs from scratch. It's just new beehives that need some beeswax (or honeycomb) to lure in the initial bee scouts for colonization.
