It looks like the concern that has been brought up multiple times in the past has recently been justified, and someone has had their mid-process crafting materials taken. Firstly, I'd like to apologize for not addressing this concern when it was previously brought up, and for waiting until it became an actual problem. I should have acted sooner to prevent the problem altogether.
I have implemented a band-aid solution for the time being, until I can re-think the larger situation. As of now, certain containers only have contents available to those who put the items into the container in the first place. For example:
Bob and Sue are both working in a tanning workshop. Bob puts a pelt into the tanning tub - now only Bob will be able to see that pelt in the tub or be able take it back out. Sue does not see the pelt in the tub, nor can she take it out. Likewise, Bob cannot see or retrieve any pelts that Sue puts into the tanning tub.
The following containers enjoy this new mechanic:
- brining trough
- de-hairing barrel
- tanning tub
- pottery table
- annealing bench
- quenching trough
- forge
If anyone can think of any others, post here.
Note: Smelting furnaces, anvils, and tanning frames are intentionally left off the list, as items are not expected to be left on them for long periods of time. Items only need to be in/on these containers when they are actively being worked on.
