Re: Bards, musings, and storytelling
Very much like the idea of a secondary resource to tie in to storytelling. I'd personally have the riln cap for a successful story being lowered overall, but boosted to the current maximums if you have a Musing/resource to expend when you tell that story. That way those who specialize in being a bar...

Re: Dominion Dissolution, Mistral Lake (it's staying), and also moving away from CvC focus aspirations
Q: What, if any, changes to the CvC policy will be happening alongside this change in direction? A: I don't think any changes to the policy need to be made, but I might be overlooking some considerations so please bring up any suggestions or concerns. (Hopefully this addresses other comments about ...

Re: Dominion Dissolution, Mistral Lake (it's staying), and also moving away from CvC focus aspirations
I'm not hugely a fan of this big of a pivot so rapidly and without warning personally. But that aside, I'm curious about a couple of specific things with this change: How, if at all, will this impact the Harbingers Society? I was under the impression that eventually the Harbingers would be a bit of ...

Re: Tasks Affecting the Game World
These are neat ideas! I think I'll start with some purely cosmetic indicators to get people used to the idea before we consider having potential penalties. Though I've always wanted it to take a second of traveltime to trudge through snow-filled streets that haven't been recently shoveled by the sh...

Re: Druidic Commune (expanding it a bit)
Something that I think would be cool to see is a little bit of an expansion of Commune, tied to the Druidry skill - so at 300 druidry, any druid that also knows Commune and has an approved avatar can set limited Primal Triggers in rooms. The way in envision this working is sort of a way to leave beh...

Re: Various Quality-of-Life Suggestions
I'd love an option to be able to BURY corpses without using the LOOT command on them first. I know you can just type out "BURY <TARGET>" but in areas where mobs swarm you can sometimes only have seconds to deal with corpses before a new critter wanders in.

Re: Druidry Rituals
I could have sworn this was already suggested, but I took a look around the BBS and didn't see it - apologies if I overlooked it somewhere! But it'd be great if there was a Druidic ability that could be used to deal with felled trees. I don't want an instant "tree-be-gone" button by any st...

Re: Shields are the best defense hands down
Just curious, but are shields lowering your damage output because it prevents you from using a weapon that gives you better damage that is two-handed, or is it specifically a penalty, e.g., any shield automatically drops your damage output by x amount? Sorry, I should have maybe been more specific....

Re: Shields are the best defense hands down
Shields do also come with opportunity costs, and while they don't matter for everyone they do make a big difference for the people that do care. They add weight to your overall carried load, they take up a shoulder slot for storage, they're going to limit your damage output, and they take up a hand ...

Re: Skill practice and challenge
I've got a change in testing now that has armor hindrance cause negative rerolls rather than mess with dice sides, since the current hindrance effect is a relic of a time before rerolls had become the standard way to implement bonuses and penalties. I'm a little concerned about this specific nugget...
