I understand wanting anything to be possible with rolls and also limiting stealth but I'm unlikely to strike a greater wechuge in 5 rounds with no melee and dodge (I could but the outcome is really unlikely). Why should it be so dramatically different for perception? It's to put increasing pressure...

As a note, in order to get into position to ambush with 0 rerolls against something with like perception, the chance of achieving this is approximately 0.50*0.50*0.50 = 12.5%... so in setting up an attack against someone of equal perception, we're seen 87.5% of the time and induce paranoia. The Risk increase is applied after the skill check, so any Risk increase from a search will apply to the next search, not the current one. Also don't forget your Risk is ticking down by 1 every second, so in the 3-5 seconds it takes for the person to search (time based on their Perception skill), yo...

Attack from hiding: base 0 ambush success rerolls, unaffected by Risk
Stalking target: +2 ambush success rerolls, unaffected by Risk
Nightblade tactic: +2 ambush success rerolls (-1 per 20 Risk, floor of 0 - this specific bonus is negated in worst case, can't go negative)

Would it be possible to remove rerolls on dodge/evasions when initially being attacked from stealth? This is what stealth attacks do. The ambusher rolls their stealth vs the target's perception, and the better the results (for the ambusher), the more the target's rerolls are pushed down. Stalking m...

I wasn't aware that Mark had a check associated with it... cool... so 4 checks. The problem comes from any failed check resulting in a rapid increase in risk. I am less concerned with the duration. Is this a theoretical concern? I rarely get noticed going up against similar-skill targets. See my we...
