Re: Skill practice and challenge
I think the "break an enemy's limbs for ideal dodge practice" is a bit goofy, yeah, but I still like it better than "stand in front of ravens for your entire defense training career." It's getting people out into different areas and experiencing different mobs, which is what we ...

Re: Skill practice and challenge
To Lex's comment, that's great you had those self-imposed restrictions. Majority of players did not though, and even those who did had a completely different experience than how it works currently. I'd be interested to know what the skill gains are like, and will probably do some testing soonish. B...

Re: Skill practice and challenge
My suggestion would be to lower the skills that you have adjusted progression for, either back down to 0 for skills like perception that you could raise just by paying, or perhaps by 80 percent for skills like dodge that have some requirement for practice. Players who have ranged and melee will sti...

Re: Sling compared to Bow
Appreciate it! I haven't played around with bows in a while, but this makes them way more manageable for me.

Re: metal Armors and Electricity
It might be reasonable if copper dominant armor (so plate, and possibly splint when players can make that) either takes more durability damage from electricity (copper specifically being VERY conductive) or increased the incoming electricity damage by a bit.

Re: Sling compared to Bow
I didn't want to start a new thread for this, so apologies for the necroposting, but something else that warrants consideration: arrows are significantly heavier than other ammunition types (with the exception of javelins, which seem to be only a little over twice as heavy as an arrow of the same ma...

Loving the festival so far! Looking forward to spending some time in a few days looking closely at all the cool stuff. But the new things I've spotted are already really exciting!

Re: Various Quality-of-Life Suggestions
I think it'd be really nice if EVERY weapon listed it's DMG_MAX on examine, not just ones that are higher or lower than the damage cap (ideally, if they'd also go ahead and list the damage from bonuses like heft, sharpness, strength, etc, as they apply to the person examining the weapon).
