Re: Mining updates: Gems and Accidents

Yay mining! I have a couple thoughts! 1. Separate but similar to mining accident events, I think it would be neat if builders had an option to add mining specific enemy encounters: It's one thing to have a mine in an area that happens to have dangerous spawns, but if the act of mining itself was als...

Can we have an option for displaying skillgains?

I often find myself neurotically checking for skillgains after/during combat, then scrolling up and doing some mental math to see if I'm getting any skillgain at all, then doing some more to see how much I'm getting. I've considered making a complex script that checks to see my skillgain increasing ...

Mining Observations and Suggestions

Hello! After putting some time into mining and a bit of exploration/character building, I have a few things to say. First of all, I love mining! No matter how simple or complex it is I just enjoy player gathering/crafting. That said, mining is very simple at the moment, which is fine: I also recogni...

Re: Let's talk about Reflection Therapy!

I don't really like the idea of having two different therapies, because it just feels like it confusing in general and also would be really weird to try to describe in-character.

Micro-skill improvements (Weight skill rolls to practice instead of always using current?)

Right now, when you train a skill, your skill level immediately jumps up and your practice remains where it was, and you must "catch up" with your practice in order to train more. While this is nice in that you experience instant improvement as soon as you train, I would prefer a system wh...

Re: Moving player bodies to other locations other than the crypts.

This whole mess leaves a really bad taste in my mouth (on both sides of the fence in this), and puts me off investing further into this community. Attitudes like this are exactly why I left the other game, and why I don't stick around games. I would ask you to reconsider your view on that topic. Si...

Re: Moving player bodies to other locations other than the crypts.

The point I'm trying to make to you, Acarin, is that Cogg isn't going to shift -more- towards players being able to punish other players purely through mechanics than they are right now. If you want to play a character that is capable of strong-arming weak characters purely through game mechanics an...

Re: Moving player bodies to other locations other than the crypts.

I really like Rias' response. I appreciate that he's set hard limits on the potential impact any one player can have on another, with the one extremely clear rule of "never allowing player looting of corpses" for example. That's not to say that MUDs which have such rules are great or not: ...
