Re: Weapon sharpness factors don't seem to be working
Wanted to add on that material sharpness IS definitely working - a melee attack with my flint javelin only does 76 piercing damage, while a melee attack with my bloodglass javelin does 105. It's just not a HUGE bonus at lower levels of sharpness, since it's a % increase (similar to heft - practicall...

Re: too far away
I can't say I agree at all. That sense of distance is something I enjoy about the game and... even then, it really only takes a few minutes to traverse the entire map on foot. I'm afraid I'm not seeing the issue here. I agree with this sentiment, personally. It's a pretty quick trip between the two...

Re: Suggestions for More Woodworking Recipes
This is pretty much the same for a lot of the crafting skills, by nature of the individual crafting pieces (i.e. you don't forge a poleaxe, for instance, you forge the head then attach to the haft). It'd be nice if there was a recipe list for completed projects that showed the components- in the in...

It'd be nice if the ECHOES command got added to the list of actions you see when you type AURA on it's own!

Re: Upcoming: Ability Trees, Skill (un)Caps, and Challenge-Based Skill Practice
Something I've been stewing on and curious about, with (most) skills getting uncapped and the skill-point total restriction going away: do you envision there being a benefit to training/focusing on ONLY Dodge or Shield Use (or some kind of cost to training both up equally), or is the intention that ...

Nether Lore Questions
Just a few nether related questions that have come to me recently! Has anyone ever been able to determine the weight, mass, or density of nether in any of the various states/forms it can take? Does all nether absorb light, or does it require special applications (Shadow Orb, for example) for that to...

Re: Upcoming: Ability Trees, Skill (un)Caps, and Challenge-Based Skill Practice
But I actually really dislike this. I know you've expressed similar thoughts in the past when these things have been brought up. I hope you'll give it a try and I'm hoping it'll feel better in practice than on paper to you, and either way I do sincerely appreciate your consideration of the impact o...

Re: Upcoming: Ability Trees, Skill (un)Caps, and Challenge-Based Skill Practice
I'm a fan of challenge based skill gain (even if I truly despise the change that was made so that practice = rolling, instead of training), and I've already shared my thoughts on the ability tree elsewhere (I don't like it). What we're playing with is removing the idea of hard-coded skill caps per s...

This song very much reminds me of Tulpa (the character): https://youtu.be/0aqlS9SOkjs?si=fzbIV4a8iW_NQRAS

Re: Bards, musings, and storytelling
Very much like the idea of a secondary resource to tie in to storytelling. I'd personally have the riln cap for a successful story being lowered overall, but boosted to the current maximums if you have a Musing/resource to expend when you tell that story. That way those who specialize in being a bar...
