Re: Thank you, from the Cogg community to the staff

I'd like to chime in with everyone else and voice my appreciation to the staff for their hard work--because, regardless of how much fun comes with it, running a game is still work . I've been staff on several games, so I know that first-hand. I strive to be mindful and do my part so as not to make y...

Weathered Stone Watchtower

There's been some in-character discussion of the watchtower close to the abandoned canyon village - that it could be fixed up and made actually functional again (made structurally sound with repairs, made habitable, etc.). There's a list of stuff people want to do to it, probably! The main useful ch...

Re: Combat Zones - Feedback

For roleplay reasons, my character only sticks to areas with nethrim, monsters, or beasts. The following notes apply for a Duelist character with 300 Melee, 225 Acrobatics, and 300 Shield Use who fights with a rapier and a buckler. Pirate's Cove (Waterlogged Sea-Ghouls): Though I don't earn experien...

Suggestion for ease of Post Office use.

When asking for mailing fees, if the Post Office in Shadgard accepted promissory notes - or, better yet, simply deducted the money from our bank account - that would be really useful. The same probably goes for the stables, too, regarding the stabling fee.

Nominate by username!

Allow us to nominate players for roleplay based on their player names! I wanted to nominate a character recently, but they were wearing a disguise, and I wasn't able to nominate them no matter how I tried to enter the command. (I'm not sure of the exact details of why it doesn't work; maybe it happe...

Re: Bugfix: Steel can no longer be made with charcoal

I didn't realize this was a bug, or I would have reported it. Like you said, steel can be made with charcoal in real life, so I thought the chance to make steel while processing iron ore was an intended gameplay mechanic. Sorry about that. I do agree with the rationale behind the rarity of steel - t...

Did Alorin's argument make sense?

In the voicechat notes for November 12th, Rias said, Even the people who were clearly planning to move factions seemed to think Alorin sounded pretty crazy and were moving -despite- her, not -because- of her. I was surprised to hear that. Both in and out of character, I thought Alorin had a really g...

Re: extra workrooms

As someone whose character does a lot of crafting, I do sympathize with the frustration of the overcrowded workrooms in Shadgard, but my worry is that everyone will want their own private workroom. That's not actually something I want - I think it's more interesting for characters to be forced to in...

Re: Merchant customization ideas

Short Description: a jolly-carved briarwood smoking-pipe Long Description: The bowl of this dark-brown, varnished wooden pipe has been shaped to resemble a round, fat face with puffy cheeks, a bulbous nose, and closed eyes; in fact, the figure is in the midst of laughter, his lips parted in an easy...

Re: Primitive leather

Rawhide is certainly a thing that people used! Could be a candidate for primitive hideworking, and it has all sorts of uses besides that.
