Re: Various Quality-of-Life Suggestions

Tumble, Flip, and Acrobatics skill should all improve our chances of not being injured when falling from a spooked horse. I liked this idea, so per the changelog: When falling off a mount, characters with the Acrobatics skill or the Tumble ability will now make an Acrobatics skill check to potentia...

Re: Various Quality-of-Life Suggestions

It would also be great if I could target an item that is in a specific container. Like, GET KNIFE IN MY BACKPACK, or IN OTHER FOOTLOCKER. That would make so much fiddling with items so much simpler. Or a specific container within a specific container. And transfer items from a container within a co...

Various Quality-of-Life Suggestions

Sorry about the long list, but I've been sitting on some of these suggestions for a few months, as I didn't really know where to post them, and I don't like making small posts on the BBS. I understand that technical limitations may make some of these infeasible. Commands Allow animals to come first ...

Re: Tree felling and regrowth

Are the saplings growing? I've heard that there was an issue with their growth, and the saplings along Timberpine Trail especially, which are the oldest ones, don't seem to be advancing in growth.

New Uses for Charcoal

There was a discussion about suggestions for uses of charcoal on OOC a couple months back that I made notes of, but I never got around to posting them ... until now, that is! So here are some potential new uses for charcoal, in order from least- to most-coding intensive: 1. Require more charcoal for...

Re: Chat/OOC Updates Pt. III

I like the suggestions that Nobody has made in this thread. I don't have an opinion about the OOC chat going away. I mostly use it to ask and answer questions or occasionally comment on game mechanics or suggestions. I do find complaining frustrating, and I put players who constantly complain on ign...

Re: Food, drink, energy, exp, morale, and TIME

When I am a new guest in someone's home, and I decide that I don't like their decor, I don't tell them that they should rip it all out and replace it. That would be enormously rude and callously self-absorbed of me. Instead, I just don't go back over to their home. They have a right to decorate thei...

Re: Possible recent charcoal changes

Thought I'd add some historical perspective to the discussion: one old-fashioned method of making charcoal is the clamp . Professional charcoal burners were called colliers , and medieval Europe experienced rapid deforestation due to an immense demand for charcoal (among other reasons, such as the p...

Cleaning Animal Pens

Currently, small animal sheds for goats and sheep become dirty faster than hutches, where squirrels are kept. (I haven't checked if this is also true for large animal sheds or coops.) And, yes, I recognize that goats and sheep are bigger than squirrels, but the relative sizes of the pens still don't...
